No notebooks. No pens. No way to prepare for the year ahead. On September 13, we walked into the Abidjan Orphanage and Reception Center in Yopougon. We saw a need. We saw resilience. We saw potential waiting for a chance. So we gave what we could. 200 notebooks. 20 geometry sets. 5 packs of pens. 10 backpacks. It wasn’t everything. But it was a start. The staff cried with gratitude. They said it was the first relief they’d had in weeks. But here’s the truth: education is still out of reach for too many of these children.
