Imagine this, youre in a dead sleep, when you suddenly hear a freight train outside your house, so you look out and see this. This is the reality people in Blackwell Oklahoma faced. On the night of may 25th, 1955, two f5 tornados struck centeal Oklahoma, and at 9pm the city of Blackwell was struck. Ok big deal right but not completely unexpected I mean its Oklahoma right in the middle of tornado alley theres gonna be tornados, but eyewitness reports made this one stand out. It was described to be glowing blue, like the color of an arc welder, but much brighter, these bright blue lights sitting in the middle of the funnel with it continuing above. What was also strange was the mention of perfect spheres spinning around the tornado as it moved. The sad thing is, there is no pictures of the actual torndo itself only the destruction left behind and it was bad, like we said, an e5 tornado so it did a lot of damage to Blackwell. As for the light part, some people believe it was a weird type of st elmos fire, an event where plasma is created from a massive electrical discharge which could’ve happened from a tornado moving so much dust that occupies Oklahoma.
