Hazrat Ali’s Tears and a Divine Lesson

This is a touching story from early Islamic history that shows the wisdom and patience of Prophet Muhammad. One day, Ali ibn Abi Talib came home and found his two camels badly harmed by his uncle, Hamza ibn Abd al-Muttalib. At that time, alcohol had not yet been forbidden in Islam, and Hazrat Hamza (RA) had acted while intoxicated. Sad and upset, Hazrat Ali (RA) went to the Prophet ﷺ for help. When the Prophet ﷺ saw Hazrat Hamza (RA) in that condition, he chose not to argue and instead stayed calm and silent. This showed great leadership and emotional control. The story teaches us an important lesson: sometimes it is wiser to stay patient and quiet for the greater good.
