The EQP-1 EQ, from Pulse Technologies (or PulTec) for short, released in 1951, offered a unique and seemingly contradictory parameter set. Because the EQP-1 actually offers its Boost and Attenuation options at slightly different frequencies, meaning that the curves produced by boosting and cutting at the same time don't cancel each other out, but instead offer a chance to completely reshape the low end and low mid-range of your mix.
