After more than 100 years as a leading Catholic women's college, Georgian Court University will officially become a fully coeducational institution in September 2013. The decision, announced by President Rosemary E. Jeffries, RSM, Ph.D., and GCU Board of Trustees Chairman Ray Shea, is one step in GCU's long-term strategic plan. The shift to being fully coeducational allows GCU to continue its mission as a Catholic Mercy university and serve even more students who want a high-quality, faith-based education. GCU's move to become fully coeducational is consistent with the university's Mercy core values of justice, respect, integrity, service and compassion. At the same time, the transition expands GCU's ability to help provide an educated workforce for New Jersey in key areas of growth and opportunity.
