Mr. Brightside is the debut single of American rock band the Killers, taken from their debut album Hot Fuss. Released in 2003, and again in 2004, it peaked the charts at number 10 in both the US and the UK. Despite its popularity, I had never actually heard the original (because I was a sheltered little boy for the 17 years) until I played Matt Conaway's arrangement for pep band this past semester, and decided to listen to the original for reference.
