We start off chilly with 40’s north of I-10 and 50’s right at the beaches. We will see tons of sunshine, light winds and low humidity through the day with highs reaching near 80 degrees. Lows tonight will drop back into the 50’s. We stay dry and mild through Friday and most of Saturday with highs in the 80’s and lows in the 50’s. Humidity creeps back with a few more clouds Saturday ahead of our next system. A warm front will approach our area Sunday; however, there is still some uncertainty in the track of this system. If it stays offshore, we will likely see mainly rain showers with highest chances near the coast. If it sneaks inland, we have the possibility of more active Sunday with some strong storms possible south of the front. Rain chances drop heading into next week with another cold front moving through midweek. In the tropics, we are tracking Melissa in the Caribbean. The system is expected to steadily strengthen and slow down as it meanders around the Caribbean through this week likely being a rainmaker for parts of Cuba, Jamaica, and Hispaniola. We will keep an eye on this long term, but it is not a current threat to the United States.
