Chateau de la Fresnaye-Falaise Brocante is held every June in the grounds around the Chateau and is a Favourite Hunting Ground for many Dealers-us Included. Not only is the Setting Lovely-especially at Sunrise when we are out and about but the Choice is usually very Good too-a Mixture of Professional and Amateur Sellers there is usually always something Good to be found. Our first Purchase of the Morning was a set of Handcrafted 19thC Cardboard Angel Wings which Originated from either a School or Theatre production as the Vendor informed us were also dated to the 19thC-a Seller of Textiles and Period Costume & clothing I revisited several times during the Morning and bought many more Interesting Pieces from her as she was unloading her stock. (You can see these in their full glory if you visit our Instagram Page FRANCE BROCANTES where they were todays' featured item) and Ive had numerous enquiries throughout the day so they wont be around for long! A lovely few hours spent bumping into fellow dealers and friends, sourcing the Unique and Unusual then we had to leave as the Sun came up and the temperature started to increase as we had our elderly dogs in the Van (nice & cool we might add) as we didnt have the luxury of our dog sitter this weekend and we stopped off en-route home to let them stretch their legs at a lovely beauty spot.As we left Chateau de La Fresnay it was starting to become Heaving so we were Happy with our Purchases and the timing was just perfect-hope you enjoy the Vide-what would YOU be looking for if you had been there?! Let us know in the comments-until next time-Merci et Au Revoir! John & Karen x
