When do we weight bear? Boot or cast? What about the posterior mall? Tightropes or screws? Deltoid repair? Do we even need to fix these fractures? Can I leave a medial mall alone? And yes, we’ll be giving FAME a bit more airtime / discussion too; put your helmets on for that on! Lyndon and Jitendra are going to bring some science to the topic, with Cesc and Pete moderating. Then onto Lis Franc, with Hiro Tanaka – such a perplexing injury sometimes. They can look like nothing at all on the imaging and yet the patient gets foot pain for evermore; it’s just not fair! How do we decide op vs non-op? Does everyone need a CT? What’s the significance of a ‘fleck’? Do we have to use plates to fix ’em these days? Perc or open? One cut or two? Fuse or fix?
