Another trip out to the Patch with my Bro this time. Can say it was the most wildflife we have seen to date dead or alive. We had a stand off with a bull from about 250m's, he was grunting and stamping his feet for about 20mins, probably never seen humans and he was off station too. Jas sent the drone up to find the donkey we could hear - cute little bugger but there must be more of them to run the donkey highways in and create the magnificent donkey shit parks!! The weather as usual turned up on the Wed - that super cell that came through we just caught the edge of it but Merridin and Coolgardie were getting smashed. Seems like a Wed thing out there!! This trip we ended up with 116 nuggets weighing 39.40grams dirty and 36.46 grams clean. Decent $$$s for 8 days out in the bush! With 2 hours to go on the last day and a nagging feeling about 3 nuggets we found previously I made the executive decision to head back to the SW end of the main patch. It paid dividends and Jas was rewarded with a nice solid 8 grammer at 300mm!! Some stats of the patch - to date we/me have pulled out 236 nuggets (granted most are sub gram so pickers really) for a total weight of 89.8g so nearly 3 ounces. On a typical day we walk for 7 hours at no faster than a k/hr so over the 8 days we're getting some k's up. Funny no weight loss observed - must be the the 2-3 cartons of Chooks we bring each!! Jas got that nice 8 grammer to finish off the last session and meant he beat me in the final tally by about 1 gram. Hoping to get one more trip in before Christmas - that might be my shopping!!
