High Functioning Low Maintenance Stream Framework

Management actions that address specific physical conditions of urban streams involve trade-offs between different aspects of stream functions. MHFD has established a framework that supports integrating High Functioning Low Maintenance Streams (HFLMS) principles into ubran stream management. This presentation summarizes the framework and the five elements of urban stream management: Hydrology, Hydraulics, Geomorphology, Vegetation, and Community Connections and Values.
