This video features our Massive Modular Bundle: 2 x XVCO TWO, XVCF TWO, Dual XVCA, and System X Dual ADSR, which are all based on Roland System 100m modules. By using phase cancellation and some clever routing I've managed to use XVCF TWO (which is a lowpass filter) as a makeshift highpass filter. I've split the lowpass and highpass signals left and right in the stereo field, which makes for some interesting spacial sweeps - headphones recommended for this one! https://frequencycentral.co.uk/produc... So.....how did I do the highpass? Take a sawtooth and patch it simultaneously to the VCF and to the VCA audio input 1. Patch the VCF output to the VCA audio input 2. Because the output of the VCF is 180 degrees out of phase with it's input, you can cause phase cancellation at the VCA by carefully tweaking the relative signal levels of inputs 1 and 2, hit he sweet spot and you have highpass response. Phase cancellation means any 'mirror image' components to the sound are rejected, leaving only the highpass content. As I've used highpass left and lowpass right, I thought it rude not to process each channel with some tap tempo delay courtesy of 2 x Stasis Leak, one synced to /8, the other to /16.
