A deep dive into @AndurilIndustries ’ EagleEye XR & AR glasses for soldiers, analyzing its UX/UI design choices for HUDs, fused, thermal, night vision, drone integration, and battlefield AI. In this video I've focused on UX ans UI choices that could obstruct vision and put the soldier in life risking scenarios while originally it was designed to help the soldier and give him superpowers. This all can be solved by conducting user testings, usability studies and letting soldiers trying different design concepts, collecting feedback and data to nail down all scenarios till it's nearly perfect. I've also compared it to some military AR/VR prototypes I've made as a UX/UI Guy and XR Designer who also served in the military, consulted and helped designing military systems, DefenceTech products, and Defense & CyberSecurity products. Honest critique of UX/UI, XR Design and HUDs that may block a soldier’s view. Highlights of AR/XR, controlling drones via AR, and Latis battlefield AI as SuperPwers. Real military needs: Marking landmarks, identifying friends / foes, and Superman vision.
