Karnataka has introduced a new garbage tax for Bengaluru residents. The Bruhat Bengaluru Mahanagara Palike (BBMP) has decided to charge property owners based on plot size, with a 1200 square feet plot paying around 400 rupees per year. This tax will be added to the property tax and divided among apartment residents.
