I haven’t done anything like this before but after my solo run on Gaping Jaw yesterday I wanted to post this entire run from start to finish! I don’t expect anyone to sit through an entire 40 minute video of me running through Nightreign but I’m putting this out there just to highlight what game knowledge I’ve picked up and even more so to showcase how great of a run this ended up being. The RNG in this run from the placement of the churches and areas, the random buff choices, the Fell Omen raid, the weapon drops and ESPECIALLY their passives, and the nighttime bosses were all practically perfect. The boss RNG especially was good. Thank god for no Ancient Dragon in night 2 or Dukes Dear Freyja in night 1. In fact this is the first time doing a solo run I’d even seen this pool of nighttime bosses. As I said in my previous Adel video, I know I have been pretty vocal about my thoughts on solo play so far and probably been making it seem like I dislike it but truthfully its more of a..conflicting relationship I have with it lol. For me every time I feel like I’m noticing improvement in my game sense I just have the urge to try and play solo to put it in the practice and to see how far I can get. I won’t sugarcoat it, solo play can still get pretty frustrating, especially when it comes to unfavorable RNG, mainly with the boss fights. As I’ve said the nighttime bosses leave a LOT to be desired and it’s definitely one of, if not the weakest aspect of the game for me genuinely. But as I’ve predicted, more in game knowledge REALLY goes a long way and I think even makes the game more enjoyable. Finally for my character choice it’s the same as why most people are probably using Wylder for solo play; he’s just the best character for it. His passive to cheat death a single time is basically a free revive (without the heal) and on top of the 2 Wending Grace you can get to revive yourself that gives you 3 chances. If I do more solo runs I’ll consider using other characters but right now I just want more health and better odds of success. I’m also not going to say I was aiming for a deathless for this attempt, it just kind of happened. If I’m doing a solo run I am ALWAYS going to use everything at my disposal no matter what it is. Anyways that’s all! Here’s the timestamps for each night. I may consider just putting all the boss fights instead but if anyone actually watches lmk if there’s a preference. Timestamps: 0:00 Day 1 17:43 Day 2 35:32 Day 3 & Adel Baron of Night
