Professor Kuznick also says that, while ultimate responsibility for the invasion lays with the Russian government's leadership, NATO powers, in particular the US and UK, see the war in Ukraine as “an opportunity to weaken and embarrass Russia” and as a result they have deliberately sabotaged potential peace talks and continue to fuel the war with weapons. Professor Kuznick is the author and co-author of numerous books including co-authoring "The Untold History of the United States" with Oliver Stone, authoring the "Laboratory: Scientists As Political Activists in 1930s America" (University of Chicago Press), co-authoring "Rethinking the Atomic Bombings of Hiroshima and Nagasaki: Japanese and American Perspectives" (Horitsu Bunkasha, 2010) with Akira Kimura.
