With an academic foundation in Computer Science and a Master's in Business Administration earned in 2009, Morris brings a unique blend of technical expertise and business acumen to the healthcare and scientific industries. Born and raised in Meru, Morris’s early curiosity for systems and problem-solving led him to pursue higher education in Australia. Upon returning, he gained hands-on financial experience working as a teller at Cooperative Bank before moving to Barclays Bank, where he worked in the loan department. It was during this time that he developed the vision for TravoTech. In 2010, inspired by his wife’s medical background and driven by a passion for entrepreneurship, Morris took a leap of faith—resigning from his banking job in 2018 to fully focus on building TravoTech. His first major step was taking a KES 500,000 loan to support the venture, and by 2012, he boldly took out a KES 1.5 million loan to import specialized equipment and secure a warehouse to scale operations. Today, TravoTech boasts three branches: its main headquarters in Kahawa Sukari, with additional outlets in Nairobi CBD and Meru. Under Morris’s leadership, the company has grown steadily, earning a solid reputation for reliability and quality. However, he notes that competition in the market remains a key challenge—one he meets with innovation, consistency, and strategic partnerships.
