Ahmed Ali Akbar is a Pakistani actor, singer, TV host and former national level tennis player. He marked his television debut at the age of thirteen on PTV's drama Stop Watch. Ali made his stage debut in 2008 and received critical appraisal for his work. He guest starred in his film debut with 2013 film Siyaah and started his professional television career in 2014, since then he has starred in several television series. Ali was born in Rawalpindi to Pakistani tennis coach Muhammad Ali Akbar. Ali played tennis on a national level before pursuing his film career. He also played cricket and football at club level. At one point he wanted to go into professional cricket but abandoned the option because of nepotism. Ehd-e-Wafa (Urdu: عہد وفا) is a Pakistani television series created by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR) and Momina Duraid for Hum TV and PTV Home. It revolves around four school friends with different hopes, goals and aspirations and shows how their lives change over time as they witness hardships, challenges and betrayal in their friendship. It premiered on 22 September 2019 on Hum TV and PTV Home and airs a weekly episode every Sunday, as a part of night programming all under MD Productions. It stars Ahad Raza Mir, Osman Khalid Butt, Ahmed Ali Akbar, Wahaj Ali, Alizeh Shah and Zara Noor Abbas in leading roles.
