Pete Hoffman’s journey to WFAN began 24 years ago when heinterned at 92.3 KRock, also the home of Radio icon, Howard Stern. One year later he was hired in the promotion department. By 2004 he was the full time promotions coordinator. When Stern left at the end of 2005, the format changed to talk radio, and a couple years switched back to rock radio. The constant changes weren’t easy and Pete decided to focus on his music career, which was always his first passion. However, you never know where exactly your career will take you, but even if things don’t go completely as planned doesn’t mean that’s a negative. In 2012, Pete returned to radio where he worked in promotions for WFAN. It was a conversation with WFAN program director, Mark Chernoff, who Pete had a prior relationship with while working for K-Rock, that he was able to make his way into programming working behind the scenes as a tape op and board op. Finally, around 2013, Pete started working as a producer for the Steve Somers show, and the rest is history. Pete worked evenings up until 2021 when he started producing middays with Moose & Maggie, then Tiki & Tierney, followed by BT & Sal. And now the journey has taken him afternoon drive with the Craig Carton show. Along the way, Pete has been able to host his own MMA podcast, has hosted several WFAN shows and currently works on the Rico Brogna Podcast with Evan Roberts. Pete is a credit to the radio business and to WFAN. He is as dedicated and committed as anyone you will ever see in the industry, always working endlessly to bring you the very best radio. Today we honored this remarkable young man as he reflects back on a career that closing in on 25 years, and the best is still yet to come. In the spotlight is honored to bring to you, Pete Hoffman
