Sponsored and Presented by National Gypsum Designing for sound transmission through wall partitions can be challenging. In addition, selecting a sound-rated assembly that also meets the fire-rated design can be difficult to coordinate. Common strategies to control sound between spaces include the use of resilient channels, double stud or staggered stud walls filled with insulation and damped gypsum panels. This webinar will identify best practices to achieve high sound transmission class wall assemblies by building type. Code-compliant examples and solutions for sound- and fire-rated assemblies will be reviewed. Speakers: Scott Hughes, CSI, CDT, LEED GA, Construction Design Manager, National Gypsum Company Chris Whitmire, CGC, CDT, LEED AP, Director of Product Marketing, National Gypsum Company Disclaimer: Statements of fact and opinion are made on the responsibility of the presenter(s) alone and do not necessarily reflect the official policy of AWCI or its officers or members.
