The Drucker Institute at Claremont Graduate University (CGU) has partnered with the Wall Street Journal to produce a groundbreaking new measure of company performance, “The Management Top 250.” Developed by the Institute, The Management Top 250 ranks corporate effectiveness of Fortune 500, S & P 500, and other large-cap companies based on their alignment with the management principles of Peter Drucker, who taught management at CGU for more than 30 years. This video features Zachary First, the executive director of the Drucker Institute, and Rick Wartzman, director of the institute’s KH Moon Center for a Functioning Society, discussing the new ranking. The Management Top 250 is based on Peter Drucker’s belief in the necessity of using a holistic approach to create a more complete, longer-term view of company performance. To do that, the Institute has determined their ranking system based on 37 firm-level indicators that fall into the following five areas: Customer Satisfaction, Employee Engagement and Development, Innovation, Social Responsibility, and Financial Performance. For more than 90 years, Claremont Graduate University has been a leader in graduate education. 40 master’s and 19 doctoral degree fields. Limited enrollment, renowned faculty, and small class sizes devoted entirely to graduate study. At CGU we put students first. [5]
