By Josee Woble TAMPA, Fla. – The USF Bookstore is a hot spot on its campus. Whether you’re visiting, on a campus tour or a student, chances are you’ve been inside. Serving over 40,000 students on the Tampa campus, the bookstore is your one-stop-shop to fill all your needs. “At the beginning of the semester I came to the bookstore to get my books and all of my materials,” Eva Sanchez said. “I like to come here to get Starbucks, do homework with friends and re-stock up on school supplies.” The bookstore stands three stories tall, adjacent to the Marshall Student Center. The third floor is where students can select their textbooks for the semester. The rows are separated by course code and within the shelves are options for renting or buying a book. You can price match at the register. The second level, better known as the ground-level floor, is where all the merchandise and knick-knacks are housed. The racks are filled with any kind of apparel you can think of. The hat selection is extensive and any size or color coffee mug is waiting for you. This is also where graduates can take their picture with Rocky the Bull, USF’s mascot, and pick up their cap and gown. There’s also a Starbucks located on the second level. Included is a café area with plenty of seating to enjoy your coffee. The top floor is where regular books, other supplies and the pick-up window for online orders are located. It’s a bit quieter up there so if you ever want a corner to study, head on up! If you are looking to get some work done, there’s also bench swings and umbrellas on the patio just outside of Starbucks. The bookstore is like the Grand Central Station of USF – it’s always slammed busy. At the beginning of semesters be sure to online order your textbooks to avoid the 30-minute line out the door. Also, about once per semester, they hold a flash sale where the store marks down a lot of things 50 percent off. If you ever need a quick snack or forgot something like headphones at home, just head inside to the small convenient store attached to the second level. If you need it, they have it! Next time you’re on campus, check out the bookstore, chances are you’ll be back soon. But be warned, you probably won’t have any self-control and you’re wallet might not be too happy after a trip, but that’s okay because we love USF and as always, go bulls!
