Japan Ex-PM Shinzo Abe Shot Dead in Broad Daylight | Why & How?

#shinzoabe #breakingnews #japan In a shocking breaking news coming in from Japan, the country's former prime minister Shinzo Abe has passed away in a hospital, after he was shot at, in Nara earlier today. He was 67 years old. Shinzo Abe was shot at, not once, but twice, in broad daylight, infront of so many people, while he was giving a speech, in the southern city of Nara in Japan, this morning. He immediately collapsed and was rushed to the nearest hospital. Pictures taken at the scene showed him bleeding profusely. Security officials at the scene tackled the 41-year-old suspect, who is now in police custody. He has been identified as Tetsuya Yamagami, and Japanese police claims that he said he was dissatisfied with Shinzo Abe and wanted to kill him. Police said the suspected shooter was a resident of Nara. Media said he had served in Japan's military for three years until 2005 but there is no official confirmation on this. All main political parties of Japan have condemned the attack In an emotional press conference earlier, Japan's current prime minister, Fumio Kishida, condemned the attack, saying: "It is barbaric and malicious and it cannot be tolerated." The Japenese authorities had earlier confirmed that Shinzo Abe had a bullet wound on the right of his neck, and also suffered deep bleeding under the left part of his chest. It is unclear if both shots hit him, or if a bullet hit him on the neck and travelled elsewhere. Eyewitnesses said they saw a man carrying what they described as a large gun and firing twice at Shinzo Abe, from behind. Yes, it was an attack from behind his back so he had no chance to escape it. Shinzo Abe was said to be conscious and responsive in the minutes after the attack, but his situation worsened and he had to receive a blood transfusion in hospital. Shinzo Abe, who was Japan's longest-serving prime minister, held office in 2006 for a year and then again from 2012 to 2020, before stepping down, due to health reasons. Ironically, the first question many people in Japan will be asking is what was the gun used and how did the shooter get hold of it? The answer appears to be that he may have built it himself. From the Photographs it looked like an improvised, or homemade, double-barrelled shotgun. You see, Gun violence is very rare in Japan, and unlike America, guns are extremely difficult to be owned. Political violence is also very very rare. And surely enough, the shooting of such a prominent figure is profoundly shocking in a country that prides itself on being so safe. Back in India, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has declared tomorrow, 9th of July, as the day of national mourning in India. His tweet read, "As a mark of our deepest respect for former Prime Minister Abe Shinzo, a one day national mourning shall be observed on 9 July 2022." We wish Shinzo Abe's friends, family and followers strength to overcome this grief and wish that he has a peaceful onward journey.
