LET GOD TAKE CARE OF YOU | The Word Exposed with Cardinal Tagle (March 23, 2025) with Sign Language Today is the Third Sunday of Lent; and in the gospel, Jesus gives a lesson on God’s caring and patience towards sinners. The Galileans, whom Pilate had massacred, suffered not because “they were greater sinners” compared to others. That is not how God deals with people. That is not how the justice of God works. Our sufferings are not punishment from him. How can we be sure of this? The answer is in the parable that follows. The orchard owner wants a fig tree cut down because it has been fruitless for three years already. It is only exhausting the soil. The gardener, however, negotiated: “Sir, leave it for this year also, and I shall cultivate the ground around it and fertilize it; it may bear fruit in the future. If not, you can cut it down.” Here we see how Jesus manifests God’s patience with his people. He will take care of the fruitless tree so that it might finally start bearing fruits for the orchard. Will we sinners accept Jesus’ love that will change our lives? This Lent, let us cooperate with Jesus, in cultivating us to become fruitful trees. Let his patience and care for us be hope and the source of our conversion. #cardinaltagle #luisantoniogokimtagle #thewordexposed #jescomph #ordinarytime #cycleB #CatholicFaith #sundaygospelreflection #faithreflections #spiritualjourney #catholicchurch #dailyreflections #faithinaction #gospelreading #scripturestudy #catholiclife #faithcommunity #sundaymass #catholicteachings #ignatianspirituality #JesuitCommunications #catholicmedia #spiritualgrowth #catholicpriest #faithformation #christianfaith #CatholicLiving #gospelmessage #faithinspiration #catholicfamily #dailygospel #CatholicVlog #faithandlife __________ The Word Exposed with Cardinal Luis Antonio Tagle, Pro-Prefect of the Dicastery for Evangelization reflects on Sunday's Mass readings each week.
