I had the chance to visit the Museum of Flight in Seattle, WA which is nicely situated right on Boeing Field, allowing for some very unique aircraft viewing opportunities including one of four 777x test aircraft and a German Navy P-8A Poseidon. A gorgeous view of Mount Rainier is also visible past the end of runway 32L / 32R. The German Navy only recently began taking delivery of the P‑8A, making sightings outside Europe pretty uncommon. It’s essentially a militarized 737 built for anti‑submarine and maritime patrol work, so seeing one next to civilian traffic is visually striking. For those of us also into railroading, the airport runs parallel to the BNSF Seattle Sub. Sounder commuter trains as well UP/CP/UP freight trains can be seen rolling past aircraft landing & taking off.
