This week was one of the hardest since starting chemo. In this video, I open up about what it felt like waiting for my interim PET scan results and the overwhelming anxiety I experienced thinking I might have to do extra rounds of chemotherapy. When the call finally came, I was relieved to hear that I don’t need to extend treatment—but I also share why that news felt more complex than it sounds. I talk honestly about the emotional and physical toll of chemo round five, including frustrations with hospital care, student interactions, and trying to juggle basic tasks like Centrelink admin while on treatment. I also share how counselling helped shift my mindset, how I’m coping with hair loss and wearing a wig, and some small but powerful wins like going shopping, seeing friends again, and celebrating family birthdays. This is raw, real, and one of my most personal updates yet.
