Gunfire and explosions erupted on Thursday in Bukavu, where M23 rebels were holding a rally, two weeks after they took control of the city in the eastern Democratic Republic of Congo. Information on who carried out the attack is yet to be available. However, speaking with Reuters via telephone after he fled the scene, Corneille Nangaa, the leader of the Congo River Alliance (AFC), one of the groups that form the M23, alleged that President Felix Tshisekedi was responsible.
