Probably kau dah biasa dengar tentang orang yang kerja as auditor in Big 4 or probably kau pernah dengar orang yang kerja dalam management consulting seperti Mckinsey, BCG dll. aku boleh cakap yang investment banking ni more or less the same di mana IB ni provide advisory or act as consultant but more on the transaction basis. Disebabkan the nature of work dia a bit on high level which involves C-suites and directors, tak ramai public kat luar sana actually aware dan faham apa yang investment bankers ni buat and value yang investment banks ni bawa kepada ekonomi. Dia susah sikit nak explain untuk orang yang bukan dalam bidang ni sebab tak nampak tangible product of it but they are also important untuk merancakkan lagi ekonomi. Main role of IB ni is actually to advise and tolong businesses untuk meet their financial challenges. Type of deals pun sangat begantung pada jenis bank dan which part of the bank yang kau kerja. So dalam investment banks ni usually the main pecahan dia; 1. Merger & Acquisition 2. Equity Capital Markets 3. Debt Capital markets. One of the best things kerja dalam IB ni is actually the unpredictability of the workload and projects yang buat kan hari-hari kau berbeza. So thats why kau punya learning progression pun very steep sebab kau exposed to various industries and sectors. So yeah thats it for this video.
