OK, first things first: please don't start making request, these compilations were just something I want to upload. The timestamps will be written down at the bottom of the description.. Second, these were shared out of generosity because I do believe that these editions are not only more rare than the standard Hed Kandi versions but rare and nearly impossible to purchase in general (even through internet and I highly doubt record store would miraculously have these in stock). Third, as much as bragging sounds appealing (not!), I'd rather have something more mutual to talk about. Although I doubt I'm the only one who has these versions, no one else seemed to have shared them - so I thought I'd these the opportunity and I've only had them for just under a year. Fourth, forgive me on this one but the sound quality to convert the music into a video has damaged the music a bit so apologies for that. There wasn't many other way for me to turn this into a video in order to share it on YouTube. Fifth, I will not be asking for "like and subscribe" for these reasons. One, I only leave it as the viewers choice, two I greatly despise it when someone tells you to do so (it's like an internet version of a beggar on the street) and three, this channel isn't going to be based on Hed Kandi music or a frequent / requested album release channel, so subscribing to this channel for Hed Kandi music or other album will turn out misleading. Now, onto the music.. Disco Heaven This is the fourth Australian volume after Disco Kandi, The Spring Mix and Beach House. There are only 5 Australian Hed Kandi editions and they are all mixed. Apart from Disco Kandi and the artwork being the same, the tracklist is very different, much different the New Zealand and the USA versions. I don't have the Disco Kandi one because the tracklist are the same, I wouldn't know if the mixing will be the same and The Spring Mix has already been uploaded by somebody else, so that saves me the work. This album contains a hefty amount of tracks from The Mix 2008, The Summer Mix 2008 and very small tracks from World Series. Other than that, there are many different selection of tracks, unless you are also a collector of Fierce Angel albums!! Favourite mix moments? It would have to be the wonky "Get Down" coming in towards "Another You", "Hi 'N' Bye" trashing about at "Be Together" and "Reach" making a long tagalong - long enough to reach two tracks before it and after it - that's 3 tracks it come on to, that's rare - Essential Mix compilations rare!! Thoughts and comparisons? This is not a Disco Heaven album! If you think 2006 Disco Heaven was tough, think again with this one! Despite the title and artwork, this is more Disco Kandi or more fittingly, The Mix! The two selection will come across as CD1: Disco Heaven vs Disco Kandi and CD2: Disco Kandi vs Twisted Disco or CD1: Disco Kandi and CD2: Twisted Disco, not only because it is mixed, the tracklist's progression is stylized the way a Kandi mix album would be and Disco Heaven generally wouldn't feature this many well known tracks. Disc 1, yes Disco Heaven could probably handle the hard rubbing grooves but this is also perfect for the soft funky part for Disco Kandi, Disc 2 however, no! The first half is already too grouchy for Disco Heaven and the second half is too aggressive with its dirty electric breakdown for Disco Kandi to handle. Overall, I actually really like this album, it's actually a pretty badass house album. I always enjoy moderately tight funky bassline progressing to harder electro rip, it screams more unashamed Disco Kandi moments and Disco Kandi is always a firm favourite of mine.
