The King of Fighters 2002 - Ikari Warriors Team (Neo Geo MVS) ザ・キング・オブ・ファイターズ 2002 怒チーム

Ikari Warriors Team team is formed by the main characters of the Ikari Warriors series, Ralf Jones and Clark Still (both are known as Paul and Vince in its source series, respectively), alongside his Commander Heidern, who was present in the two first tournaments of the series (Heidern also made a brief intro participation in Ikari III: The Rescue). Starting with The King of Fighters '96, the team earns new members: Leona Heidern, Heidern's adoptive daughter and frontline soldier of the squad, and Whip, a younger soldier, during the NESTS Chronicles and the Tales of Ash Saga. The two female soldiers and the Commander were created exclusively for the KOF series (although the commander himself debuted in NES version of Ikari III). The most active team formation is commonly the members of the '96 formation through the games, except in The King of Fighters XI, where Whip replaces Leona. However, the 2001 entry (and last chapter of the NESTS Chronicles) brings all members who were active during the Orochi Saga, such as the former classic pre-'96 team leader Heidern, due to Whip’s absence joining Team K' in 2001 - 2003, prior to temporarily re-joining with the Ikari Squad, due to an emergency matter regarding of Leona's absence as mentioned previously (the weakening of the Orochi seal and her Riot of the Blood state).
