When asking about the first books of the Bible, specifically the earliest texts of the Old Testament to be written, the most common answer is the Pentateuch, the five books attributed to Moses. However, what if I told you that, during Joshua's time, other sacred texts already existed? It is possible that these writings were authored by Moses himself or perhaps were copies of pre-existing sacred texts. An intriguing example is the case of Jethro, the priest of the Almighty God and Moses’ father-in-law, who may have handed Moses some of these texts, later passed on to Joshua and even to the prophet Samuel. This raises curiosity about the existence of other sacred documents from that era. In this video, we will explore one of these ancient and enigmatic books of the Holy Scriptures: the Book of the Just, also known as the Book of Jasher.
