With one of the first real summer swells setting in, we headed down to Long Beach in the Pacific Rim National Park on Vancouver Island for today's episode. The beach was packed with people but also full of fun looking peaks stretching all the way down the beach, and we ultimately decided to surf the backwashy peak breaking right off of Lovekin rock, a spot known for its strong and unpredictable rip currents. We dive into a little bit of info about the currents and safety before sending it straight into some backwashy wedges and double ups that actually turned out to be pretty wild.
