This AFTER video was filmed February 25, 2026. Here is my BEFORE video of when there was a traffic light for pedestrians including old pedestrian buttons.    • (BEFORE) Old Caltrans Traffic Light For Pe...   Do I have to say it? Well, yes I have to say it. Caltrans continues to waste money on installing these new signals. Replacing older traffic signals that looked exactly the same and already up to date with all brand new signals on new poles and mast arms. This crosswalk really didn't even need an actual pedestrian signal because no driver needs to yield for a pedestrian here since drivers on College Ave can only go straight. The traffic signal for pedestrians was plenty, but no, they had to change it. Also to tell you something else that doesn't make sense, this has been programed to operate as a leading pedestrian interval which means the walk light comes on before the green light and that doesn't make sense at all because again, drivers on College Ave don't have to yield to a pedestrian. So all of this was unnecessary in my opinion.
