Looking for a different island vibes in Malaysia? We have the answer - Pulau Tuba. Pulau means Island in Malay and Tuba is located 5km from Kuah jetty, Langkawi, only a 20min boat journey. It is a beautiful, remote island and the only inhabited islet in the area apart from Langkawi. Here you can experience a genuine local village live, the locals live mainly from fishing and farming and there only a few homestays on the island if you would like to stay the night. The highlights of Pulau Tuba are cave-exploring and jungle-trekking. You can also spot a variety of wildlife, especially hornbills. We took a few pictures but couldn't get much on video. If you are not into caves nor jungle trekking Tuba also offers more relaxed options like exploring the island and it's villages and a swim in the beautiful crystal clear waters, we unfortunately chose a wrong day to go there as the weather wasn't the best but still had an amazing day exploring.
