Four Legs, Two Faces © Muslim Tunes Revolutions rarely begin with villains. They begin with hope. With speeches whispered in barns and shouted in streets. With promises of equality, justice, and a future cleansed of corruption. They begin with the conviction that this time will be different - that this system, this movement, this leader will not repeat the sins of the past. Animal Farm endures because it strips that optimism to its bones. What begins as liberation slowly mutates into domination. The slogans simplify thought. The rules quietly shift. The architects of freedom become guardians of power. And the oppressed, exhausted and loyal, convince themselves that sacrifice is progress. This rap does not retell Orwell’s story merely as literature. It uses the farm as a metaphor for every structure where power gathers without restraint. It does not matter what flavour of “system” is in force - revolutionary or traditional, corporate or state-run, democratic or authoritarian. The mechanism is timeless. Unchecked power does not remain neutral. It concentrates. It protects itself. It rewrites memory. The tragedy is not that tyranny appears in obvious form. It is that it often arrives wrapped in rhetoric - clothed in promises, chanting equality while engineering hierarchy. The message remains constant: do not fall for the slogans alone. Question who benefits. Watch who edits the rules. Observe who silences dissent. Because when power is left unexamined, it does not simply corrupt - it transforms into the very thing it once claimed to overthrow.
