Game I (Cyrax) played in Montu's Multiplayer Madness finals October 1st 2023. You can watch me live on Twitch www.twitch.tv/echoes_ftw Idea is to lvlup 3 admirals to lvl 8 before wars start, and get Genius Armorer Destiny trait (+100 shield & armor, +20% hardening for both). You can lvl up fast by using tradition in statecraft which gives you 300 xp for all leaders when you finish agenda. So all you need is a lot of unity and stacked up leader xp gain (up to +300% with Oligarchy and Distinguished Admiralty). Note: doing Leadeship Conditioning to get just 1 lvl, even from 4 to 5, is a mistake. You need to do it after your leaders already have lvl 5, as it will give 2000xp times all xp bonuses you have (close to 8k). My route this finals was: Egalitarian - Spiritualist - Militarist (did not embrace factions) y0 Democracy: Parlamentary System + Death Cult y10 Oligarchy: Death Cult + Distinguished Admiralty y20 (statecraft finisher reform) Oligarchy: Exalted Priesthood + Distingueshed Admiralty + Meritocracy (last is variable, took Meritocracy for +1 trait option) y40+ Megacorp: Letters of Marque + Naval Contractors + Precision Cogs y70+ same but swapped Precision Cogs for Private Prospectors for +1 admiral council position You dont have to go the same route, as essential thing is unity and xp gain and there are many ways to get it. I even tried to go commie build and was able to get admirals y37 but they are fanatic egalitarian, means you stuck with democracy, whilst oligarchy and megacorp are vastly superior imo. I also used 120% buff from bugged Enmity tradition, which is very strong but not neccesary. You can make it to lvl8 without it by y35-37 by playing bit more conservative on unity. Also going origins other than Clone Armies is viable as well. To sum up, when you double down on unity/xp you'll get insanely fat corvettes, but your tech and eco will be weak. So you kinda have to stack ship cost/upkeep reeduction to 90% to field competitive fleet.
