서울도시건축비엔날레는 건축학 및 도시학을 포함한 다양한 학제와 차원에서 세계의 도시들과 서울을 함께 만날 수 있습니다. 그리고 올해, 2021 서울도시건축비엔날레의 주제는 ‘크로스로드’입니다. 크로스, 교차, 가위표는 한 지점을 표시하는 기호로도 인식되는데요, 어쩌면 교차점에서 발생하는 예상치 못한 만남과 이야기들은 보물이나 다름없지 않을까요? 그 첫 번째 시작으로, 새로운 것을 만들어 온 창작자들의 공간, 혹은 가지각색의 창작자들이 모이는 공간에 찾아가 그들과 서울의 관계 맺기에 관한 이야기를 나눠보았습니다. Seoul Biennale of Architecture and Urbanism is where the world’s cities come together in Seoul to discuss various subjects on the architecture and urban planning on varying levels. And this year, the theme of Seoul Biennale 2021 is ‘CROSSROADS’. The cross or intersection is where “X” marks the spot, and signifies the meeting that happens there, so maybe we can think the treasures are expected encounters or stories that occur on the intersection. To start on, we visited the spaces of creator’s who dig up Seoul’s treasures and make new things, or places where all kinds of creators come together and discuess the relationship forged by Seoul.
