Toledo, Ohio National Train Day May 5, 2012

Set to HD for best quality. Toledo, Ohio held it's National Train Day on May 5, 2012. The reason it is held eariler than some of the bigger cities National train day is due to the the fact that Amtrak does not have enough equipment for all the events to take place on the same day. This event took place at Toledo's Central Union Station (Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Plaza) Or the Toledo Amtrak Station. In addition to Amtrak bringing their 40th Anniversary Exhibit train Norfolk Southern also brought a Locomotive to display. There were no cab tours of any locomotives this year unlike the other years. There were many vendors who sold model trains, railroad books, food, and much more. Besides vendors model trains of many scales, railroad motorcars, and activites for kids were set-up. It was a very fun event and it attracted many people as you can tell in this video. I did not film the inside of Amtrak's 40th Anniversary train because there is just to much to film inside and it's something you have to see in person to see it all. I was volunteering for the Toledo Lake Erie & Western Railway and we had a booth set-up in the station. I filmed most of this on my brakes and after the event. At 6:17 in the video the event was over with and the display train was parked on an empty track and the NS engine left to go back to the yard. Video property of metraF40PH163
