This was where things got interesting... 7 miles of A/B rider-only terrain that quickly reminded me why they don't let C riders on this test! ⚡🛑 Utility Can Caddy 🛑⚡https://shop.seattime.co/products/uti... I finished 86th overall and 4th in 45+ A class in this test section, but this is definitely where the struggle bus started picking up passengers. Half a mile in and I'm already questioning my life choices when I see random spectators scattered through the woods - never a good sign when people are just standing around waiting to watch crashes! Ohio threw everything at us on this test: those trademark random 90-degree turns that locals seem to navigate like they're on rails, slick clay at the TOP of hills (because apparently Ohio doesn't follow normal physics), and some surprisingly technical rocky sections. The weirdest part? Usually the slick spots are in the low areas, but nope - climb to the top just to find greasy clay waiting for you. I had some good moments with actual traction, but quickly learned I need way more practice staying standing through those quick, deeper ruts. Every time I sat down, the bike just wasn't weighted right coming out of them. Still struggling with line choice in the muddy sections too. Big props to Grady Peavy (#29F) who caught and passed me after what looked like he had some trouble earlier in the test. Dude went on to finish 56th overall with some top 20 test times - that's how it's done!
