CHESRI SCHOOL SAFETY AWARENESS

Chesri is driven on the development, deployment and advocacy, aligned with strategies that meet community, health, environmental, safety and rescue initiative. Our Story evolves around an organization, aimed to promote and improve positive social impact, leveraging on organizational and international support, through Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) and philanthropic goodwill. We also run a nonprofit, voluntary citizens' group that is organized on a local, national and international level, is task-oriented and driven by partnering with people of common interest, to improving and changing lives. The NGO effort on creating awareness, working hand in hand with stakeholders and the Govt. to ensure public participation in basic safety measures across schools within our cashment. The Lagos State Safety Commision is the arm responsible for the coordination of all Government Ministries, Agencies, Parastaltals and all relevant bodies on matters relating to safety of lives and property at all levels, promote safety culture through sustained public and institutional enlightenment strategies as well as safety standards for all sectors involved in socio-economic activities in the state. A safe school campaign to train students and pupils across the 230 districts of Lagos State. A strategic move to position safety prefects and ambassadors in schools and within communities in the state. This strategic partnership between the Lagos State Safety Commission, CHESRI NGO led to a successful deployment of experienced facilitators, kits and amenities, to train and install safety prefects on the following area: CPR BASIC HARZARD PREVENTIVE MEASURES FIRE SAFETY AND RESCUE
