11 UPDF Officers Prepare For Retirement

In a ceremony at the Ministry of Defense and Veterans Affairs headquarters in Mbuya earlier this week, led by joint chief of staff, Major Gen. Leopold Eric Kyanda, 11 officers at the rank of general were being prepared for retirement. They are set to exit duty on August 31, 2023. Major Gen. Kyanda encouraged the generals to be positive about this since this would be an opportunity for the younger ones to contribute to the country’s and force’s success.
