A look at the interesting and beautiful terrain of the Alabama Hills area near Lone Pine, California at the base of the Eastern Sierra Nevada Mountains. Great free dry camping here on the BLM land. Very good spot for hiking, bouldering and of course photography. We visited in early April and the weather was fantastic, Lone Pine is a nice little town, looking for water fill, they have a free water fill spigot at the visitor center south of town and lots of info on the area and where you can camp.
