After my visit last year was cut short due to a heatwave, I had planned to return as soon as I was able, and finally as part of my West Wales Camping trip I returned to Bronwydd Arms, home of the Gwili Railway. After a quick look around the station area, I purchase my ticket and board the steam service bound for Danycoed Halt, hauled by 71516 'Welsh Guardsman'. Upon departure the line immediately begins to climb, following the valley and the Gwili River to Llwyfan Cerrig, where we pass non stop before continuing along the 1/2 mile extension to Danycoed Halt, here, our locomotive runs round the train and we return to Llwyfan Cerrig. As my visit was during the Easter event during the pause here children were able to meet the Easter Bunny and recieve eggs, whereas me on the other hand crossed over the line to the mail train exhibition! Returning to the train we head back down towards Bronwydd Arms, passing non stop through the station and over the 2017 extension to Abergwili Junction, the southern end of the line, where, once again our locomotive runs round the train and we return to Bronwydd Arms, Part 1 coming to a conclusion as the steam service is shunted into the loop to allow the DMU to pass
