to summarise for biology and chemistry 🧪 how I revise for topic tests: use the specification to see what you need to know watch youtube videos to understand content you don’t get (DON’T JUST START MEMORISING!!!) use spec points and turn them into questions summarise your own notes as well as notes from an external resource (e.g. save my exams or a cgp book) into flashcards do the flashcards as well as practice questions to prepare smash the topic test xx the night before an exam (a-level or topic test): read all the spec points of the exam content and any notes made go over all the past papers and just read your marking to see silly errors you previously made look at practicals in those topics that might come up go over any notes you are unsure of amy’s ‘foolproof plan’ when it comes to a-level season : rank all your topics (red, amber, green) for that subject start with your weakest topics read the specification do your anki cards/revision resources read any notes you’ve made previously ask chatgpt to test you using active recall do practice questions (can be found on PMT website - linked below) look at mark schemes and mark your answers other techniques/advice blurt with friends use colourful pens/pencils to make mind maps draw out organic synthesis pathways or diagrams to help you understand content (whiteboards are useful here) ask teachers or friends for help!! anki every morning watch youtube videos on weak areas when getting ready in the morning use whiteboard to blurt by yourself use AI or chatgpt for active recall the prompt I used for chatgpt: ‘I’m currently revising [insert] topic of AQA A-Level [insert]. Please can you test me using detailed, spec-relevant questions to assess how much I can recall and to check for full understanding. and provide me with detailed feedback based off aqa mark schemes.’ 4 other ways I used chatgpt 1. use a revision log, paste in every time you gets something wrong and go back to this 2. talk to chatgpt and explain a process (teach-back mode) and only tell it to interrupt if something is unclear, missing, or incorrect 3. do an essay and ask chatgpt to mark it like an AQA examiner, “where would I drop marks” 4. “test me on any random part of AQA A level Biology from any part of the spec” other resources i mentioned save my exams https://www.savemyexams.com/ allery chemistry youtube channel / @allerychemistry PMT https://www.physicsandmathstutor.com/ anki use MME for biology past paper question packs by topic maths resources i mentioned madasmaths https://madasmaths.com/ bicen maths / @bicenmaths zeeshan / @zeeshanzamurred9280 thank you so much for watching and i hope this was helpful💘 Click to subscribe💌 / @amycheah my socials instagram / amyycheah tik tok / amyycheah pinterest https https://www.pinterest.co.uk/amyycheah/ my amazon storefront https://www.amazon.co.uk/shop/amycheah business inquiries [email protected] i do not own any of the music in this video time stamps 00:00 - 00:30 intro 00:31 - 11:32 chemistry 11:33 - 18:17 biology 18:18 - 22:21 maths 22:22 - 30:09 general advice FAQ! how old are you? 18 what camera do you use? canon g7x mark iii what do you edit with? final cut pro x where do you live?
