This talk was given at a local TEDx event, produced independently of the TED Conferences. Centralization kills creativity. Creativity ought to evolve exponentially. Why? Because it largely involves recombination of previous ideas. In other words; the more ideas we already had in the past, the more we can get in the future. However, in reality many societies have seen their creativity bloom, but then die. When societies get very centralised, their creativity drops dramatically. And afterwards, they crumble or collapse Serial entrepreneur, author and investor. Lars Tvede is author of The Creative Society and nine other books about technology, marketing, economics, entrepreneurship and the future. His books have been published in 11 languages and more than 50 editions. Lars Tvede has studied why societies gain and loose creativity, and he suggest what to do to stimulate creativity in the future.
