The Tonga people of Gwembe Valley showcasing how they attempted to resist their relocation during the construction of the Kariba Dam. They defended themselves using spears and shields against the white man who had a gun. 10th September,1958 was the day that broke the camel's back as about 8 people were killed in the fight leading to them agreeing to relocate to places such as Lusitu and Chirundu. The song being sung is entitled: Twakayowa Meenda antobolo ..meaning we were only scared of the water and guns otherwise they were ready to fight on.
