This video will demonstrate proliferation bioassay methods for a stem cell line of BaF3 cells. These stem cell cultures are an immortalized line of IL3 dependent pro-B cells from murine bone marrow. The BaF3 system is an increasingly popular model system to study the functional reconstitution of the neuronal culture growth factor receptors for a number of cytokines, including basic FGFs, CSFs and interleukins. With the introduction and expression of specific receptor cDNA, sublines have been created in order to study the proliferative stimulation of a receptor's corresponding growth factors.
