Camel, one of the most representative bands of the early progressive rock and also the psychedelic rock, (such as King Crimson, Pink Floyd or Yes), released in 1976 my favourite album of them, and also the LP that transformed them into a legend band. The album was recorded in a very few days, and the new drummer Ward entered the band, converting their sound more jazzy and progressive, and helping to record one of the best equilibrated albums of the decade, in terms of spacey, subtetly and melody. An enormous album to get into, full of joyful atmospheres and that will trap you and not let you out until it finishes. Just listen to tracks as endearing as the opening instrument "Arisitillus" that gives access to that universe of cinephile colors, to realize the musical framework that these geniuses splurge. Don’t forget to get special attention on “Chord Change”, the third song of the album, and full of chord and rhythm changes, what create a lovely opera with many different passages, in only 6-7 minutes. Moonmadness is an enigmatic album with a cover that does the ensemble very well, filling with charm and colours, the same aromas that the music gives off, those aromas that are lived in nature, day by day, or in bands like CAMEL, who with a little budget and a lot of talent managed to reach the sky. Sorry for not saying more information or writing a better review… Difficult changes are passing on my private life, and I’m not feeling stronge enough to do this better today.
