Movement 1 "Magnificat anima mea" performed by Lux Aeterna Vocal Ensemble and Canting Singers

"Magnificat anima mea" is the first movement of a musical setting of the biblical canticle 𝑀𝑎𝑔𝑛𝑖𝑓𝑖𝑐𝑎𝑡 (Luke 1:39-56). This cantata was completed by John Rutter in 1990 and premiered in the same year at Carnegie Hall. Lux Aeterna Vocal Ensemble and Canting Singers collaborated to perform this piece under the baton of Agastya Rama Listya. The musicians involved in this performance were: Kaleb Yuseli (piano), Siswanto Tri Utomo (electone), Yohanes Ruswanto (flute), Angger Suprayogi (oboe), Reinhart Helbert Albrow Latunussa (synthesizer), Daniella Christy (synthesizer), Jeffri Kristianto and Cefy Putra Handika (percussions). The Christmas concert entitled 𝑴𝒚 𝒔𝒐𝒖𝒍 𝒅𝒐𝒕𝒉 𝒎𝒂𝒈𝒏𝒊𝒇𝒚 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝑳𝒐𝒓𝒅 was held at Balairung Universitas Kristen Satya Wacana on December 7, 2024.
