It’s located between lovely Rawal Lake and a lush, green national park and an ideal home-base for everything you’ll get up to in Islamabad when you're on a bit of a budget. #islamabad #pakistan #solotraveller Rooftop Live BBQ This Rooftop Barbeque is fun and tasty and was one of the top 3 meals I had during my week-long stay in Islamabad. They light the place up splendidly, with lanterns and fairy lights to give it a magical feel from the moment you set foot on the rooftop. My PRO TIP is to come just before the sunset for pretty views of Rawal Lake and the Margala Hills. They’ll even let you fly your drone from the rooftop if you get there before the crowds, which makes for a really fun shot of the area that you can’t get from the other hotels (see mine!).
